32 ND HOLIDAY BAZAAR SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1 ST 9:00am – 4:00pm
PARISH BREAKFAST WITH SANTA ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2 ND 9:30-11:30AM
We are accepting items for our Toys & Treasure Corner. Gently used toys, books, games, puzzles and stuffed animals. Please NO computers, appliances or furniture. Please sign up to bake or help – Signup sheets by Raffle tickets in the Commons. Please consider giving an hour or two.
BAZAAR RAFFLE TICKETS are on sale this weekend through Sun., Nov. 2 nd. Drawing will be held on Monday, Nov. 3 rd at 10am. Tickets are $5 each and you need not be present to win. … Gangs, Violence and our Response:If you are interested in learning about this very serious problem, please attend a meeting on Wednesday, October 29 th 7pm at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk. The Gang Squad of the city police will address this topic.
Columbarium
Parishioners who wish to purchase a niche in the Columbarium, please see Edna in the Parish Office. Total cost for two people is $1000. Total cost for one person is $600. (This figure includes the urn and engraved stone.)
Social Justice Ministry
WORLD FOOD DAY Thank you Ascension for spreading hope! Over 650 bags of groceries were returned and we shared over 100 bags with each of our sister food pantries and soup kitchens. Special thanks to all our dedicated volunteers who are passionately committed to ending hunger!
WINTER SHELTER PROGRAM has begun & Volunteers of America are in urgent need of single-size, washable blankets; travel size toiletries and powdered detergents. Leave items in food pantry baskets.
