Pastoral Council Meetings

Pastoral Council meetings are normally held the second Thursday of every month except July at 7:00 PM in the upstairs conference room.

Parish Local Planning Area 2

Church of the Ascension, together with St. Gregory the Great, St. Mark and St. Matthew, make up Local Planning Area 2 (LPA 2) of the Diocese of Richmond. This group is guided by the following mission: "At the direction of our Bishop and in communion at the Lord's table and with each other, we form a cooperative assemblage of Catholic parishes and draw on our individual gifts to better coordinate our parish ministries, provide mutual and efficient support to each other, and enrich our parishioners."
