Become Catholic - R.C.I.A.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

  1. Do you want to be baptized?
  2. Are you a non-Catholic wishing to know more about the Catholic faith?
  3. Are you a Catholic who has not received Eucharist and/or celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation?
  4. Do you know anyone who fits these descriptions?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we invite you seek full initiation in the Catholic Church.

Are you a Catholic who has received the Sacraments but have been away from the Church? Consider our Landings program to re-energize your faith and answer any questions.

The RCIA is the process by which adults interested in full initiation into the Catholic Church have the opportunity to inquire into its teachings and to reflect on their readiness for entry into the Catholic faith community. This program is for anyone who has not been baptized, those who have been baptized in other faith traditions and for baptized Catholics who never completed the other sacraments of initiation (Eucharist and/or Confirmation).

Watch the inspiring testimony of two people who have joined the Catholic Church!

The RCIA journey begins with Inquiry - an opportunity to delve into your experiences of God and aspects of our Catholic faith and traditions. After the Inquiry period, candidates join sponsors in deeper exploration of the Catholic faith through reflection on the Sunday readings. In addition, there are bi-weekly meetings and retreats throughout the year. The process culminates in the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, & Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil, where the candidates are welcomed into full membership in the Catholic Church. We welcome people into the RCIA process whenever they feel called.
