 Thank You for Father Daniel’s 12 Plus Years of

Leadership at Ascension

This event is all about our Ascension family! The Knights of Columbus will provide the main course, and all those gathered are kindly asked to bring a dish to share. Father Nicholaus will share a little about himself, allowing us to get to know him better, and there will also be a review of some of our parish successes under Father Daniel’s leadership.

We would also like to “stuff” some boxes: one with welcoming cards and notes for Father Nicholaus, and one with thank you and well wishes for Father Daniel.

Many people have asked about a gift for Father Daniel. If you wish to express your appreciation for Fr. Daniel more tangibly, a monetary gift would be most suitable. He can use the funds for his personal use, including helping to install solar power in the family home in Tanzania, which will provide a steady source of electricity (this is where Fr. Daniel stays when he visits and where he plans to spend a significant portion of his retirement). Cash or checks made out to Daniel Malingumu should be placed in your card, and your card placed in the appropriate box in the commons. While it is Father Daniel’s habit to write thank you cards for gifts he receives, as a special time-saving gift, we will ask him to write one thank you note that will be published in the bulletin.

Boxes will be available for both Father Daniel and Father Nicholaus in the Commons on the weekends of October 11/12 and 18/19. These boxes will be presented to our Priests on October 26th at the Welcome and Thank You Potluck Party. Please join us for this memorable event. We hope to see you there!
